He was the 1st boy who choose or possibly was dared to sit next to me on the bus in 6th grade when they shuffled the Bellcrest district to Laurel Ave.JHS. The other boys teased him so bad he got shy around me for a long time. His business years later was out in Miller Place which was not far from were my sister lived. He was a great neighbor and friend for many years and will be remembered fondly. Our neighborhood was shuffled to almost every school in district 4. Kindergarten @ Larkfield Elem. then to Dickinson Ave. Elem. which included store fronts on Laurel Ave.,next it was Norwood Ave Elem. to Laurel Ave JHS. Jr high we were off to E.Npt JHS followed by 1/2 sessions at Middleville HS(remember the smoking lounge in the woods?) We finally made it to the beautiful New Northport HS on Elwood Rd. THIS MADE US STRONG AND IT ALSO MADE US KNOW FRIENDS THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE DISTRICT. He will be missed but I look forward to reconnecting with everyone who makes it to our 50th.

Richard was a good friend to me during my time at Northport. Didn't live there for a long time but when me and my mother moved there he was the first to extend his friendship. I am very sorry to see he has passed.
